Optimize Solar Design with Advanced Modeling
Harness advanced AI for accurate modeling and quick feasibility study for PV projects. Begin your design journey today.
8 Steps to a Feasibility Report
From the site to a complete preliminary design and feasibility study: site, project, array design, irradiation, energy yield, economics, GHG reduction and the report.
147 Stations + Any Site
Long-term monthly irradiation for 147 built-in weather stations in China, the USA and Europe; any other site by latitude and longitude from NASA POWER; or your own measured data.
1,290 Optimized Inverter Units
Choose the inverter power and PVQuick takes the matching unit: modules per string, strings per inverter and the DC/AC ratio, with every string checked at low temperature.
10 Array Operating Modes
Fixed, manual adjustment and eight tracking modes, for distributed PV on roofs and elevated structures and for ground-mounted plants on flat or sloped land.
Features
Everything a PV project needs, from the site to the feasibility report.
Solar Resources
147 built-in weather stations (China 54, USA 42, Europe 51) with long-term monthly irradiation; air temperature and wind speed from Solargis and NASA POWER; any site by latitude and longitude; your own measured monthly data. Northern Hemisphere, from the equator to the North Pole.
3 Categories, 10 Operating Modes
Flat-laid distributed PV (pitched roofs, greenhouses, façades, carports, PV balconies), array-installed distributed PV (flat roofs, floating PV, elevated structures) and ground-mounted plants on flat or sloped land, with fixed, manual adjustment and eight tracking modes.
Inverter Units and Grid Connection
1,290 pre-optimized inverter units for China, Europe and the USA, with monofacial and bifacial modules; the DC/AC ratio set by the solar resource zone; grid connection from single-phase low voltage up to 110 kV.
Array Design and Land Use
Array design, row spacing and the land area of the PV farm are calculated automatically, keeping rows free of shading for 65% of the day length at the winter solstice. Layouts export to PDF, DXF and KML.
Irradiation and Shading Losses
Plane-of-array irradiation by a non-isotropic model in 20-minute steps (beam, circumsolar, sky-diffuse and ground-reflected), front and rear for bifacial modules; inter-row shading computed geometrically at every step; backtracking for trackers.
Performance Ratio and Energy Yield
14 efficiency items make up the performance ratio, each with a recommended value you can edit. The first-year AC energy follows from the plane-of-array irradiation, the PR and the rated PV power, with monthly results and the energy over the operating life.
Investment and Financial Analysis
Capital cost, O&M and LCOE by the annuity and discounted-cash-flow methods; full feed-in, self-consumption with peak / flat / valley tariffs, net metering and net billing; equity IRR, NPV and payback period, or the tariff for a target IRR. Amounts in CNY, USD or EUR.
PV + Storage and Street Lights
Beyond grid-tied PV: household and commercial PV + battery storage sized from the daily load, and off-grid solar street lights checked night by night against 20 years of NASA weather data.
GHG Reduction and the Report
CO₂, SO₂, NOₓ and standard coal saved against coal-fired generation, first year and lifetime; a complete preliminary design and feasibility report, ready to print or save as PDF.
